The New Year has seen us welcome Dr Wafa Sabbah to the Spafford Children Center team as the new paediatric doctor in charge of the medical clinic in Bethany.

She is working in the clinic, with a practical nurse and a secretary, continuing to provide paediatric care, infant welfare monitoring (including screenings for hearing, eyesight and development) and preventative vaccinations.

She is highly qualified, having graduated from the Al-Quds University, Faculty of Medicine in 2002, and since 2008 she’s carried the Jordanian and the Palestinian board degree in paediatrics and neonatology.

Dr Sabbah previously worked in the Paediatric Medical Department in Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem and in The Peace Medical Center in Ram City.

She lives near Bethany with her husband (an orthopedic doctor) and growing family.
